HMD Global just announced two new Nokia phones, Nokia 3.1 Plus and Nokia 8110 4G “Banana Phone” in India and to compete in the budget segment.
The Nokia 3.1 Plus has been priced at Rs 11,499 for the 3GB + 32GB model and will be available starting October 19 on both offline and online stores. Airtel customers will be entitled to 1TB of data on purchasing the Nokia 3.1 Plus.
The Nokia 8110 4G banana feature phone slots much lower at Rs 5,999. The phone will be available from October 24 and with Reliance Jio for some offers as well.
Nokia 8110G Specification
The Nokia 8110 4G ‘Banana Phone’ sports a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT (240 x 320 pixels) curved display with 167 PPI. It is powered by the Dual-Core Qualcomm 205 SoC clocked at 1.1GHz and paired with Adreno 304 GPU. The Nokia 8110 4G further includes 4GB of internal storage (expandable with microSD), with 512MB RAM and feautures dual-SIM connectivity.
There is also a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash while the whole package is backed by a 1500mAh battery. Other features of the Nokia 8110 4G includes a Drip protection (IP52) rating, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, USB 2.0 support and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
On the software front, the phone runs on KaiOS. After JioPhone, Nokia 8110 is the second to run on KaiOS.
Nokia 3.1 Plus Specifications
The Nokia 3.1 Plus features a 6-inch HD+ IPS display with an 18:9 display aspect ratio. The new phone doesn’t feature a notch on top and the screen is 0.8-inch larger than its predecessor.
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor and comes in two variants, one with 2GB RAM coupled with 16GB of internal storage and another with 3GB RAM/32GB storage. The storage can also be expanded up to 400GB via a microSD card. It comes with a dual-SIM card slot and a dedicated microSD card.
