11 terrorists killed in Kashmir’s Anantnag and Shopian – Indian Army

In ongoing encounter in Anantnag and Shopian, four of our jawans have also been injured and they are undergoing treatment. Around 40 civilians were also injured in the conflict between local civilians and security forces during the encounter in Shopian. After this encounter, there is tremendous stress in the valley.

In Shopian, 10 terrorists have been killed in an encounter between militants and security forces at two separate places. While two junior army personnel were also injured in this encounter.

Of the dead, 5 bodies have been recovered. Among them, one has been identified as Shopian’s Yasir. The rifle was also recovered from him. Still the search operation is being run in the area.

Top commander dead

A top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba has also been killed in this encounter. Jeetat-ul Islam had become a big face of terror in Kashmir at the present time. Shopipani’s Janipura was associated with the terrorist organization in November 2015 and for the last two years, he was named in the list of 10 Most Wanted Terrorists.

In the three encounters held in Anantnag and Shopian districts of south Kashmir, eight militants were killed and one has been caught. Police say that eight militants, including two top commanders, have been stacked in separate encounters in South Kashmir. It is being told that a militant was killed in the encounter with security forces in Anantnag district of south Kashmir, while seven terrorists have been killed in an encounter in Shopian district. The shootings are still in the shoot. Three army personnel were injured in this encounter.

Terrorists did not even consider the appeal of family members

According to information, Anantnag has succeeded in killing a terrorist of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and arresting one. Prior to the encounter, both the terrorists had requested their relatives to surrender. But he did not believe it. Instead of surrendering, he started firing on the soldiers of the army. In response, a terrorist was killed. The name of the terrorist killed was Raouf Ahmad Kanday. Both the terrorists are local citizens of Kashmir. It is being told that recently Hizbul Mujahideen did the recruitment of both the terrorist activities. Similarly, a shootout started by militants fired during the siege and search operation in Durgad area of ​​Shopian district of South Kashmir. Seven terrorists have been killed in response to the security forces. Efforts are being made to identify the killed terrorists and figure out which group they used to work for. In the meantime, encounters are also underway in Shopian’s Kachdura.

Earlier on March 29, terrorists had killed a special police officer in Anantnag district of the state. His wife was also injured in this attack. In another incident the same day terrorists fired on a person in Chanseer of Kulgam district. The person was shot on the leg and was admitted to a local hospital.
