Clarifying more on it, she has said that she was assaulted by veteran actor Nana Patekar. The actress had revealed that she was pushed and intimidated by Nana Patekar on the sets.

In an exclusive interview with Zoom TV, Tanushree said that Nana Patekar has as a history of assaulting women. She said that people in the industry know that the actor is rude to women and has beaten them on the sets.

She said, “Everyone knows about Nana Patekar that he has always been disrespectful towards women. People in the industry know about his in the background that he has beaten actresses, he has molested them, his behaviour with women has always been crude but no publication has printed anything about it.”

She allegedly said that according to the contract, she was to do a solo number. However, from the first day of shoot, Nana Patekar started misbehaving with her.

Recalling the 2008 incident, Tanushree added, “Post the incident on the sets of Horn OK Please, Nana Patekar called up this political party who has a reputation of lynching and causing damages on the sets. And the producers called up the media to gain publicity from the whole situation. On one side we had the media and on the other side we had the political party workers. They vandalised my car completely. So, I got off my vanity van and head towards our vehicle.”

“My father told the producers that we will leave for the day and asked them to think over the situation. My father told them that this actor has been troubling my daughter for the last 2 days and she will not do any dance with her. If you guys insist on doing it, think over it. And we sat in the car and wanted to leave. That’s when we had a big group of media personnel on one side and the political party workers on the other side. They started attacking our car,” Tanushree added further.

She added, “Everyone has gossiped about this but have never spoken. People with this kind of character speak like this against the kind of character that I have because they say she does glamourous roles so must be glamorous and all. Behind the back, they are so dirty. When you are in the industry you hear so many stories about these actors. But these things never take surface because they are PR packaged very well. They will give some money to some poor farmers. How much they do and how much they don’t no one knows. But all this is just for show.”

She complained to the producer and the director about him pulling her and teaching her dance steps. Instead of paying heed to what she was saying, they wanted to listen to Nana Patekar’s demand of doing an intimate step with her. She also called out stars like Akshay Kumar and Rajnikanth for working with Nana Patekar, who sent goons to intimidate her and her family. She added that big stars should be sensitive to not work with him.

She said that top lead actresses in films are only cast by the lead actors and not the casting directors. They will cast all the other actors in the movie but the lead actress will be recommended by the lead actor, she said.
